Royal Enfield to Invest ₹2,200 Crore in
Andhra Pradesh

Eicher Motors-owned
two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield plans to invest ₹2,200 crore in a new
manufacturing facility and vendor park in Andhra Pradesh.
¨
The project will be
established at Satyavedu in Tirupati district near the Andhra Pradesh–Tamil
Nadu border.
¨
This will be Royal
Enfield’s first major production expansion outside Tamil Nadu.
¨
The Andhra Pradesh
government has allocated around 267 to 450 acres of land for the project in
Vanalluru and Rallakuppam villages of Satyavedu mandal.
¨
Satyavedu is a mandal in
Tirupati district located close to the interstate border with Tamil Nadu.
¨
The project has been
approved by the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board.
¨
The board is chaired by
N. Chandrababu Naidu.
¨
The new facility is
expected to increase Royal Enfield’s annual production capacity by nearly 9
lakh units.
¨
The company’s current
annual production capacity is around 14 lakh units.
¨
The manufacturing hub
will be developed in two phases.
¨
The first phase is
targeted for completion by 2029.
¨ The second phase is expected to be completed by 2032.
¨ The project is likely to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
