¨     Karnataka has established India’s first state-level Space Technology Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

¨     A major step to strengthen India’s space innovation ecosystem.

¨     Aims to accelerate commercial applications of space technologies and enhance collaboration.

¨     The Centre of Excellence (COE SpaceTech Foundation) is set up by the Karnataka government.

¨     Implemented through Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS).

¨     In collaboration with Satcom Industry Association of India (SIA-India).

¨     Focuses on research, innovation, and capacity building in emerging space technologies.

¨     Will promote advanced research and industry-oriented training.

¨     Supports talent development and skill building.

¨     Acts as a hub for startup incubation and ecosystem development.

¨     Encourages collaboration between public and private sectors.
