India’s total exports of goods and services rose by 13.17 percent in January 2026

¨     India’s total exports of goods and services rose by 13.17 percent in January 2026.

¨     India’s overall exports, merchandise and services combined, reached 80.45 billion dollars in January 2026.

¨     This was higher than 71.09 billion dollars recorded in January 2025.

¨     As per data released by the Commerce Ministry, overall imports increased at a faster rate of 18.76 percent in January 2026.

¨     Overall imports increased to 90.83 billion dollars in January 2026.

¨     Overall imports stood at 76.48 billion dollars in the same month last year.

¨     Accordingly, India’s overall trade deficit, merchandise and services combined, reached 10.38 billion dollars in January 2026.

¨     It almost doubled from 5.39 billion dollars in January 2025.

¨     Both exports and imports of merchandise and services recorded an increase in January 2026.

¨     Merchandise exports increased slightly from 36.34 billion dollars to 36.56 billion dollars.

¨     Services exports increased from 34.75 billion dollars to 43.90 billion dollars in January 2026.
